Rinoa is twerp.

Quistis, your timing is the worst.

Edea looks young for a woman who aught to be at least in her late 30s.

I should read battle info before I go and slaughter non-random enemies, I want to collect all the damn GFs.

She's just so bloody useless. And gets in the way all the time.
Quistis is lovely when she gets her act together.
Edea uses Odine brand magical wrinkle remover. :3

And after a while, you just get so paranoid about GFs that the first thing you check is the draw menu.

I will stand by my belief that Squall sees sense after the end of the game events - or is rescued from Rinoa's clutches by either Seifer (who looked damn good on that float) or Laguna.

I hope so, she seems otherwise a sensible person.

Heh, figures. ^_^

Yeah, I'm starting to see that. Is there a way to change the attack order mid-fight? I know FF7 had it but it seems like it's not there in FF8.

I'll have to climb those crates again anyway, thankfully I tend to be a bit on the paranoid side when it comes to saving.

He's so smirky and handsome there. <3

She just needs some time to get over the whole "I love Squall but he's my student and now I'm not a teacher anymore ohnoez".

No, I don't think you can do that (though I didn't even know you could in FF7. o_O How?), you just need to make sure to get that done before you start kicking ass.

FF7 there's an option in the command menu of [Defend], found by going to the far right of the menu (it's a little pop-up submenu of it's own).

[Change] is the other way, go left. It skips the character you were on and goes to the next person up instead without any action.

Admitedly, I am not sure [Defend] does much either, it may mitigate attacks that hit that character in that turn but I've never really studied it real hard.

Oh, so that's what that does. FF9 (which is what I've been playing recently) has that too and I'd been wondering. I was just too lame to actually see what it does. xD
In that case, no, FF8 doesn't have that.

It's good if you have a character who has a particular command you want to use before you attack an enemy - like Steal, or in FF8 the Draw command.

Given that I am a horrific cheat (I lover Griever, and it's sister program, Jenova) at this stage of the game I damn well wish FF8 had it because I don't give everyone the Draw command (it's damn annoying that you can only pick three commands).

I just have all the other characters standing around doing nothing while I steal/draw over and over till I have what I want.

I tend to only give one character the draw command, the others go around with revive/recover/treatment and all that as soon as I have those abilities.

Yeah, much like I do, everyone has GF so I have a toss-up on the other commands on what to give them.

Hmm... not quite ;) Change changes the position of the character (from normal to long-range, or vice-versa), but it uses up that character's turn; Defend essentially skips the character's turn.

Does it? I'd never really noticed! I'll keep that in mind for next time I play 7, I usually only put Aeris in the back row.
