Zee Fish izz back from purgatory... yadda yadda yadda... or something like that.
There are still some kinks to work out, like a total lack of sound, a pile of programs to reinstall and the issue of a missing Favourites Menu or two.
If the Favourites are gone I don't have faith the savegames will be found either - barring my first game of FF7 which I shipped over to My Documents when I started the second game.
Not that I care at this point, I don't think I'll mind much starting over but the Favourites Menu is an issue - I'll have to go looking through my backup CDs for my last save of them and even then I've probably lost a crapload of stuff - particularly all my FF-related links.
Bleh.
Let's just say, the last week has been boring. I suffered two cleaning fits, phoned
gardensgnome three times and read aproximately three and a half books - all but one I have read before and the previously unread one is not HBP.
I also had a thought on LO, FF7 and the fate of Masamune. Did it show in the game what happened to Masamune when Cloud and Sephiroth fought in the Nibelheim reactor during the Burning? If the sword ended up going in with Seph the original game has a plothole that LO fixed but if it didn't, no plothole.
The thought is this: If Masamune was there for Hojo to pick up (in LO it was still stuck through Cloud) then when "Sephiroth" (whom I believe to be Jenova's body, transfigured to look like him and remote-controlled from his real position in the crater) went through Shin-Ra HQ (early Disk One) massacring people he merely picked it up along the way. If it fell into the Lifestream then how the hell did Seph get it???
Anyway, lots to do.

2006-01-27 16:00 (UTC)I'll probably have to go back and see if they can fix the sound problem though, I don't want to go through a year or two without sound again like I did a few years ago.
Hopefully they can fix that while I wait though.
Oh well, maybe that's what Masamune was made for, leaving plotholes for fanficcers to fill. ^_^
