This is a personal style, one that is purely self-invented. It's whole point is that it is detailed as hell. The secondary point is that simple line drawings line human figures can be hidden within it for the viewer to try and find.

This particular picture has Sephiroth in it. Try and find him, and his name.

That is awesome!!! It didn't take long to find his name, and then when I found his name I looked up and said, "oh it's Sephy!!!" That's so cool! I would never have the patience to draw something like that....so major props!

I always find myself wondering how easy it is for people to find the figure in these pictures. It's kind-of hard for me to judge because I drew them and know exactly where I put them.

This one I keep thinking Masamune would be the easiest since I followed it's lines quite a bit.

It's so awesome! I envy your patience level! Did you do that allin one sitting, or did you come back to it? And since I'm askign questions, how long did it take you do that?

I came back to it after something like a month's hiatus.

More often than not these do get a pause in the middle of doing them - I am having horrors over my latest one because it's on an A2 size sheet and I have to do it and several more before December - christmas presents since I'm going to Sydney where practically all of my extended family is, both Mum and Dad's (I'm going down because my uncle (Mum's brother) is getting married again and my aunt (Mum's sister) has invited us to stay through 'til christmas).

I would estimate this one took maybe 3 or 4 days, though if it weren't for the fact that at the time I was also doing another of this style plus my first FF7 chibi pics it might have taken less.

Ahh, Mum is talking about going by car - wonder if I could fit you in the boot with all the rest of the baggage?

My previous chibis are here:

I love my Sephi Cibi, Námo is less than impressed, but then Námo got Sephi Chibi slapped on his icons when he got temporarily turned into a child. RP pups can be a pain sometimes.

Actually I love all three of my chibis dearly, they're cute and small and are nice and safe in my notebook where I can go and pet them.

*pets them too* I wish I had some artistic ability. The only thing I can draw are stick figures....*giggle*

Aww, it just takes practice, lots of practice. I seem to recall years of drawing in church as being the primary advancement my own skills gained. That is a very good way to keep a child from being bored during sermons.

I could barely color in the lines when I was younger...yet alone have enough creativity to draw something else! =D I think a lot of it has to do with talent. I.E. You are very talented. =D (<--I think I'm abusing the usage of that smiley face lol! I've used it about a million times today!)

Ahh, maybe so. ^_^ (Smiley abuse is almost as addictive as striketag abuse.)

I guess that's one point, I always seem to place the figure in the middle! (Unless it's also a character study that has three or so versions of the character in it).

It's really great though. I sure couldn't do anything like that.

Neat.

I found his hair before the image finished loading. Finding his name was easier.

So, what's next? Publishing a "Where's Sephy?" book for children?

Gorgeous work here... I'm wondering just how long it took... Is that digital or ink? If it's ink, I'm impressed at the non-smearyness of it.

It's ink, I have to keep in mind not to rub it before the ink dries.

Average time for an A5 piece like that is maybe a couple of hours to a day, depending on how involved I get. Most of the time I pause in the middle, leaving it for anything from a few days to a few months before I complete one.

What I really need is to start going to church again, I never listen to the surmons so it's always a good place to draw.
