Now it just needs to be spread around the Hobbit fandom more, as a reasonable name for those pretty metal decorations on the end of dwarf braids that fanfiction loves using as courting gifts.

Nothing definitive. I've seen various hair decorations referred to as "beads" and "clasps", but at least for ones at the ends of braids I think "aglets" is a damn good word.

Also, I find the word aglet is kind of pretty and should perhaps be used for something nicer than shoelaces. =)

I'd like to think dwarf braids are nice, especially if the dwarves in question are good-looking.
