Progress Of An Obsession

You know, for some reason I feel like running an ongoing track of how getting into a new fandom goes.

• As it is, I read FFR, saw a comment about how great SPN is.
  
  
• Went and read a blog post about how great SPN is, thought there may be potential.
  
  
• As I do with many things, I went and read Wikipedia.
  
  
• I went and looked up FFN. Pairing I started in on is Destiel.
  
  
• After only a few days of reading I concluded that I really should watch the show, but with the disappearance of the local Blockbuster and the fact that it's not on TV at the moment, plus my data allowance issues, the easy way was to buy my own copies. Also, I'd seen them on sale in the Big W catalogue.
  
  
• DVD sets chosen are based on presence of Castiel. Seasons 4 and 5. Will get season 1-3 & 6 later.
  
  
• Progress watching DVDs is slow. Cas is only semi-regular in season 4 and I have really fallen back into the human slash because I have a low tolerance for Dean's usual womanising.
  
  
• Reading fanfic. Lots of it, both on FFN and AO3.
  
  
• Created a new LJ memories folder for SPN stuff.
  
  
• Made a Firefox Bookmarks folder for SPN stuff.
  
  
• Joined mishaland. Have added the title of "Mishawife" to other self-applied fannish titles in my profile.
  
  
• Created a Friends filter for SPN communities.
  
  
• Have bought the first components for an unashamedly fangirlsh Castiel-themed bracelet. Need to check other stores for materials. Also am considering a Misha bracelet. This is ridiculously fangirlish even in my book. I plan to post pics to mishaland. They'd probably love such acts of devotion to Our Husband and the Angelic BAMF.
  
  
• Have been seriously fighting off the mental image of one of my Expanded Keeper-verse side characters looking like Misha Collins. Also have to fight off the mental image of his partner looking like Jensen Ackles. I already have a face for Jason anyway.
  
  
• Seriously thinking my claim about being insane since 11 is waaaaaaay too accurate.
