I was raised pretty strongly Christian, and in amongst all that was a belief that superstition in general was a way the Devil gets to us.
Most of the common superstitions? I find them amusing, but pointless. Something to laugh at. In fact I consider the number 13 to be one of my favourites, behind 4, 16, and 47. Black cats are cute. Walking under ladders is just bad because the guy on top of it may drop something.
In fact, one Friday the 13th, I was at a shopping centre. They were handing out free scratchies. I won $2. Nice luck for a supposedly unlucky day.
