[livejournal.com profile] nashidesei, is there any particular reason why I found eight thirteen cents in Starscream's box? One dime and three one cent pieces, one of which is Canadian.

Eight Cents
One cent pieces are a bit of a novelty these days! We Aussies haven't had one cent pieces in circulation for years now (or two cent pieces either). It's probably only worth 6.5 [as Nashi has informed me on the value of dimes, it's more like 11.5] Aussie cents.

Huuudge
I am very tempted to make his household name "Da Huuuuuudge" - not because of any particularly yellow gelatinousness, but because he's HUGE! ...And I like making HstarR jokes.

Oh, uhm, it's tradition in my family to throw a couple coins in a big package before sending it off so that it jingles when you shake it. First off it's funny, and second we discovered that it makes postal workers be more careful with the package if it's making delicate jingling sounds in-transit. XD

BUT I AM GLAD HE FINALLY GOT THERE SAFE. I ran out of labels and my penmanship really isn't very nice so I was concerned. 8(

Also dimes are ten cent pieces, not five. Fives are nickels. ;)

Oh damn. My memory for coinage terms is shot! Oh well, it's 13 cents then? The dime is the same size as an Aussie 5 cent piece, that's probably why I made that mistake.

I had a vague idea it might have been something about making the package rattle - the way Hasbro ties up toys in their boxes means they don't rattle on their own.
