The Sims: Growing Pains

I have, lately, been starting to move various nieghbourhood kids into college. That means there's also been some incidental aging-up of younger children.
Here's a few of the families I've been working on at the moment.
So as I previously mentioned in a past post, I'd been clearing out stuff I wouldn't ever use - like clothing, makeup, skintones and eye colours - but in doing so I lost Prowl's eyes. I also mentioned using a Copy Mirror to restore Prowl, by copying off a newly-made Bluestreak.

This is Blue, as she started - an adult who is identical to Prowl, with the correct eye colour for my human Autobots (sans Magnus).

Here's a better pic of Blue after she'd been aged down and made-over. I did try to get black hair that had more greyish highlights.

Here's Blue after I aged her up and gave her her childhood makeover. I thought the cap came over as quite a child-thing, and besides, the hair is greyish.

One of the latest pieces of clothing I found on MST2 is this - a bodysuit that also came in a red-and-black version and a straight white version. I just went into Body Shop and reasigned it to more outfit types than the original had.

I also recently made up Jazz - mainly to fill Prowl and 'Cade's old apartment. Anyway, I took Jazz out on the town and had her cheerfully seducing and woohooing random people she encountered, before she met Prowl and took to her.

Prowl is up to something naughty...

...And no prizes for guessing who was in the changing booth!

^_^

Along the way, I saw fit to build a Lockdown sim out of one of my "Dead File Sims" - sims from narfed past games that are buried in the default sims - one of my "Cykill Slagmaker" sims - failed Megatrons. Because of Megatron's facial shape, his base sim gives quite an interesting facial shape to characters, as Bhaal is an example, I figured I could use one of the two Cykills to make a Lockdown from.
This picture isn't good for seeing Locky, since he's ghost, but I found a full face paint that he's got on and his natural red eyes (go see Roddy's eyes below for an example) really help make him look creepy.
Another of my teenage characters I made up early on in this game was Alice - as in "Alice In Wonderland", or more importantly, American MacGee's Alice. However I hated the face of the original sim, who had this awful long narrow face to match the game it was based on (mind you, that Alice has an awful face too, but I know that game is meant to be creepy), so I made her over into something I could play, but looked little like the original sim except for the dress.
However even the dress went, when I decided to train up Alice as a witch, since her father, Reginald Liddel (I don't know if that surname is the right spelling - never checked) was one of the nieghbourhood Atrociously Evil mages. Alice ended up being dressed in a wardrobe of Goth Lolita clothing but I noticed a problem when I recently went back to her house to get her ready for college...

That damn dress shows her crotch! NAKED!
Despite how amused I was at Sunny's Rikku-outfit showing a crotch, Sunny's outfit had a crotch that had included panties, not having it going totally commando. I may be pretty tolerant, but I do have my bits of prudishness, and so Alice got a new outfit...

AS TIFA!
Incidentally, I started putting to use another tool I'd picked up along the way - the NPC Nanny Painting and All-In-One NPC painting. The first house I did that in was Kalia Deis's house, when I recovered the previous Kalia sim from the Dead Files Sims and remade her as Kalia's child. Because Kalia had a falling out with her betrothed and had her fed to the cowplant (the same Lockdown's ghost was teasing), I needed someone to mind the place while Kalia was at work and Athena Deis was still a toddler. (I am still debating changing the girl's first name again, I have too many Athenas.)
Thing is, as soon as I got an NPC on the lot, I took to her with the InSiminator Social Adjuster's appearance options and gave her an extensive makeover. The result however turned out very damn pretty...

Mahalia Gibson.
Anyway, I had a problem happen, when I'd sent her to feed the cowplant, but I had given her quite wide autonomy and while I was busy doing something with Kalia, my pretty NPC had apparently wandered off and tried to grab the cowcake... and anyone who knows the game likely knows what that means! Anyway, I resurrected her, then lost her when I hit the wrong option for removing her from the lot (I think I'd used the teleporter's "Put up for adoption" option) and she apparently vanished.
I found where she'd gone when I was in SimPE - she'd randomly been dumped into the Prima household, so I dug her out and dumped her in the NPCs, then later dug her up again when Alice decided to get rid of her father and her step-father-to-be (Storm Loire) via cowplant and Venus Sim Trap (hacked and recoloured cowplant).
So now Mahalia is Alice's adopted mother and houseminder of Alice's house while she's at university.
One of the teens who I moved to college was Starwing, so along with that Rodimus got aged up to childhood. I however ran into one problem: Roddy's face.

See? That's how Roddy looked right after I aged him up.

He gets it from his parents, of course. (This is actually from way back - I think this was my first Optimus, pregnant with Grant. He was married to Soundwave. Still, you see where Roddy got that terrible face from.)

So I made him over. Radically.

Here he is with contacts.

And I found some suitably coloured clothing. Also, his hair is a very reddish-brown.
While thinking of who else I could add to my college group - the House of §trange - I remembered Talos Icelord and Athena Sardinia. I haven't quite finished Talos's teenagehood, but with Athena going off to college, I had to also move the rest of the kids in the Hyperbole household up an age-step.

This is just cute - Mimi playing with her big brother.

Here's Mimi, right after age-up, and I really mean right after. She's still acting all happy and celebrating coming into childhood. She still has her toddler hair.

Anvelicon right after aging up.

And Anvelice. That hair is horrendous!!!

Agatheas. He didn't need much work.

Mimi after I gave her her makeover. I still kept her characteristic pigtails, and in all her other outfits she has hair that has the two ponytails in some way, whether as loose hair, plaits, or even buns. Still brown at this point because I cannot see any sensible parent - even if only a foster parent - allowing a pre-adolescent child to dye their hair - especially a dark-haired child dye their hair light blonde because that is very harsh on hair. She'll be allowed to go blonde when she goes into teenagehood.

Anvelicon was more his outfit and glasses that needed changing for makeover. He also has contacts, because both he and his sister's eyes are shockingly bright on colour and I have a real love of contacts now I have some good game-style ones.

Anvelice however needed more work, not only the hair, but also doing her teenage goth phase, which has always been in the plans since the original re-aged base-sim of her I made was as a gothy teen. Anvelicon was also very much the geeky, slightly nerdy teen his vest and tie in the above picture implies, way back in those original re-aged models. (The true original models were way back in my Pleasantview game, and were Young Adults, which can only be accessed in the university nieghbood CAS, so to be able to make new versions for Riverview I had to redo them in Body Shop at one of the ages accessible in the main nieghbourhood. As it was, though I remodelled them as teens, I deaged them to children and also used the base sims to make Paternias and Maternia - their parental sims (who I have become very fond of because they are quite pretty in their own right).

And Agatheas, in very medieval clothing, to somehat suit his inspirational background (that is, the original story for the original character of Mimi Fish I made up just over nine years ago now).
