More Complaints About My Brother

I am heartily glad Noddy never got into fanfiction. His pet OCs tend to be the worst sort of over-powered know-it-all Gary Stus.

I just got a description of his latest - an AVP character who is supposed to be a gunman who is supposedly so good he trains commandos and learned all he knows from some tome about fighting and gunfighting.

Seriously, it's just so ridiculously stupid, and this is my brother? But then, Noddy was never the brother with the greatest grasp on reality - the one with that was always Grey, and Grey is also the one who reads fanfiction whereas Noddy called a couple of fics that ended up on a disk I'd burned for him as being "unengaging" (and that was after he'd insulted the slash).


But then I have seen quite a few people lament how bad their family members are when it comes to fanfic - good writers with siblings who write the worst sort of teen Mary Sue tripe - and while I don't usually write myself, I guess I'm in the same sort of position.
