The last couple of days have been... a pain in the aft. Or more precisely, in the belly.

On one hand, I have been reassured that the surgical wound is healing well, but on the other... it's been draining. This means clear, slightly blood-coloured liquid seeping from it - more like flowing in some cases with me.

Had a panic session at 1:15 AM this morning and ended up spending something like 3 or so hours at emergency, at the local hospital to be told that everything looks fine, despite the copious liquid. At least we got a pile of swab packets in the process, those have been what we've been keeping it from going everywhere with today, when it was seeping at it's fastest.

I hope this draining ends soon, I'm tired of it and I think we're getting short on supplies again. There's already a few items that will need to be replaced in my brand-spank-new first aid kits (bought via one of the hamper companies, despite the stuff-ups in delivery). I also need to wash my hair but haven't felt up to it - haven't washed it since the night before I went into hospital and that's over a week ago now, so it's overdue and manky and the weather is hot and humid which encourages sweat and Mum is proposing the jug-over-the-sink method.

At least Mum already got an air mattress for Noddy's visit (he's coming up for xmas... and to help move stuff so new carpet can be laid - KRudd's presents for people on pensions apparently have done wonders for the carpet store) - I've been napping on it today.

At the moment, I'm just catching up on a few more fics from while I was at hospital.

Thankye for the thought - as I'm saying in the post I'm working on now, it got infected and I went back to hospital, and now have a very expensive machine linked onto it to keep it drained and closed.
