CD Hunting

I went hunting for the Transformers soundtrack but absolutely none of the shops had it in. But while doing that I picked up a couple of other things instead... and I just discovered one of the songs in the Transformers soundtrack is on the CD I did buy - Linkin Park album, Minutes to Midnight - the song in question being What I've Done, which appears in the scene where Sam finally drops Mikaela at her house (it's very soft there) and at the start of the closing credits.

But anyway, besides that I got the latest Sims 2 Stuff pack - Teen Style Stuff - and I got my laybuy off, which included Final Fantasy: Spirits Within, Barbarella, and Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions.

I know, I don't have a PSP and probably won't be able to get one for almost a year, unless I go for a cheaper package than the one I'd like, but at least I have the game and can put it away until I have the PSP to play it on.

While I was looking for the Trans soundtrack, I noted the Kmart had PS3s for $700. 40GB, but at least that's not up around $999. Given that the PSP pack I'd like is around $500 I can hardly afford $700, but I was thinking that if there's PS3s that low, then if my hopes for next year's tax return come back as high as I think they might (based on the fact that I was paying extra out of my Newstart for only half a year, last year) I could possibly afford to get one. I'd have to rethink the PSP because up until now I was thinking of leaving that to next year's tax return. The question left however is: Do I really want to bother? FFXIII is probably still ages coming and not all of the games in the XIII compilation will be PS3 ones. I really don't have much interest outside Final Fantasy in console games.

Oh well, I have the sheet laybuy to deal with at the moment anyway - a couple of weeks ago I found some king single bed sheets and put two sets on laybuy, and a queen set for Mum with them. Until those are off I'm not going to start any more major buying projects.


This Linkin Park CD is turning out well, but then I already knew I liked them, I'm just glad that hasn't changed.

Which Transformers soundtrack? The musical score or the one with the vocals? I have both, I could send them to you or put them on megaupload or something.

If you could send them via snail it'd be easier - longer yes, but easier than me trying to get them through my dial-up. I'm actually considering tackling the issue of my internet connection after I'm done buying those bed sheets.

Yeah, I mean buy post - if you don't mind doing that, I don't know how much that'd cost however, I'm in Australia so unless you're another country-mate it's not going to be cheap.

I'm in the US. I'll get the CD's burned and labeled and everything, and when I have them all set, I'll let you know and get the address to mail to. (Also, I'm kinda low on funds at the moment, so I need to wait until my next paycheck is deposited.)
