My tax has finally come back - $455.

Take the latest phone bill from that I currently have $365 in my account, but I'm due another $95 from work overnight. I'm not sure if that's enough for both extra RAM and a new monitor - I'll have to see when I get Fëanor assessed at the shop and look into monitor prices.

I still have a couple of other things outstanding at the moment, journal fees, a new set of compy headphones, X-2 manual that's been sitting around EB Games' shelf of manuals, the Sims 2 Fashion Stuff expansion, consider broadband and Wifi thingy for Larsa. I certainly won't be able to do all that if I can get the monitor but I might see about them if I can't - the most expensive will be the matter of the journal fees, I am still debating the issue of paying up this journal.

But anyway, this will all have to wait until I can take Fëa into the shop.

Your computer's called Fëanor? Dude, that rocks! (If not, then whatever it is is called Fëanor rocks. I have cacti named after LotR characters, but sadly none of the obscure ones...I think my brain failed me that day...)

Yep! My compy is named after the original stroppy boy himself!

The question of what our computers were named came up on desperatefans and it just so happened to be my Varda muse who answered it with the explanation that it was stubborn enough that one could liken it Fëanor.

Since then however I've had upgrades that have made it far more tractable, so I kinda joke that the CPU, the video card and the back-up hard drive are the silmarils so Fëa's happy now. I even named the two hard drives Airë and Fanyarë - two of the names I gave burny_shiny, my silmaril muse.


Now I just have to get used to a bit of screen stretch and see how well Sims2 runs.

My puter is named for David Kemper (writer for Farscape), and I regret it every day, because all the damn thing does is mess with my head...!
