I HAS A CHAIR!
30 August 2007 14:23Well my chair issues are fixed now, I didn't get another swivel chair, I went for something a bit more staid - a nice solid wood piece that was on for half price, at $89.
It's not as bulky as the dinning chair we have so it's a tad more comfortable.
Now I just have to deal with the old chair, and my old monitor - this place is small enough without having old junk cluttering up the room. Maybe we can also finally deal with the old TV too - take it old to the tip with the chair.
Mum was looking at buying new dinning chairs at the shop, plus we were looking at a possible TV cabinet too - the old cabinet was decrepit at best - we'd had it as long as the old TV, which is saying a fair bit since Mum bought that TV in '85 or '86. Besides, with the new TV weighing 36 kilos I really doubt the old cabinet would have held it.
I just have to make sure I sit straight on this chair - I have a tendency to sit diagonally, which is what is primarily to blame for two broken chairs.
