Sim Fix-up

So, I finally resolved a problem in my Sims 2 game and ended up with a new sim as a result.
This is Storm Loire. The surname is important to his background.

See, after giving up the whole idea of making a new nieghbourhood (after getting a good look at how much detail goes into making nieghbourhoods look good) and dumping all of my FF and KH sims back in Pleasantview I had to restore a few broken families.
One such family was the Loire family, which really only consisted of Laguna and Squall, where - unlike Cloud and Seph - I forgot to get them a divorce before I used the SimSlice Family Cup Buddy to transfer Squall over to Shinra Mansion, where I was asembling all the extended family since I wasn't sure what moving to another nieghbourhood would do to family bonds (probably not as much as I thought).
So the side effect was that when I finally got Squall back into the same house as Laguna... Laguna was remembering two different Squalls and all my efforts to get them remarried were failing (despite afirmative FMVs) because Laguna seemed convinced he was already married to a different Squall.
So I tried a few things, but nothing seemed to work - I even looked in SimPE but couldn't find the fault - so I killed Laguna off and replaced him with a copy.
Only Squall wanted the original back.
Only I'd deleted the tombstone.
So when I finally went back into the game yesterday I decided to see if I could get Squall to forget about the first version but then I found something surprising. The tombstone I was sure I'd deleted was there.
Anyway, the thing about Squall wanting the original back had been niggling at me so I'd already decided to try work out the problem some other way - probably poke at SimPE again - so I used boolprop to trigger an all-out fight between Squall and the Copy and then used the SimSlice Tattered Heart to shift the Copy off the lot before reserrecting the original Laguna.
And wouldn't you know it? The double memory seemed to have disappeared!
Anyway, I still had the copy left over, so I shifted it onto a new lot, used the SimSlice computer to change it's name to Storm, used the SimSlice phone to get a cosmetic surgery station so I could do a bit of facial remodelling, a perfectly normal mirror for the hair and some makeup changes and glasses, then sent him down to the shops for some new clothes and grabbed a random NPC and made use of the SimSlice Love Crystal so now Storm has a boyfriend as well.

Without the glasses.

With Scott.
(Though Scott isn't as cute as another Scott I know of - damn I'm turning into a total Barrowman fangirl!)
I also used SimPE to make Storm Laguna's sibling, who I now consider to be his bratty little brother who briefly tried to steal Squall by pretending to be Big Brother.
Anyway, things are fixed up with Laguna and Squall, and now I have an extra sim living in Downtown with his newly un-NPC'd fiancé.
Next I'll have to get back to the House of §trange and see how Ellone and Jenova settle in there.
