Sims 2 - I give up!

Okay, I give up on the idea of making a new neighbourhood for my FF and KH sims - I've moved all of them back into Pleasantview, though spread across both the home neighbourhood and Bluewater - the shopping district - with Hojo in Downtown.

Not all of them will stay where they are at the moment, there's at least four temp lots that I need to rehouse the tennants, and some of the older houses I want to get rid of and rebuild, or renovate a pre-existing lot, because frankly the ones that are my own making are awful blocky things and the reno jobs on a whole tend to be far more elegant.

I also have to move all of the current residents of Shinra Mansion out - barring the core family of Vincent, Aeris and Lucrecia. I also want to start moving kids off into college now I've decided on this course of action, so that will mean Ellone will end up leaving Shinra too.

I am going to try start my effort to reconstruct the FF10 sims' relationship bonds - meaning constructing individual families like the Al Bhed family I tried making before (and lost due to savegame deletion), and a Spira house that will be a Braska stand-in and Auron, and Zanarkand that will have a Jecht stand-in so the kids will have all the right parental records and Yuna will legitimately be Rikku and Brother's cousin.


I also finally loaded Glamour Life Stuff, which has been sitting on my shelf for a week now, unopened, and I have yet to go into Xehanort's house to change his hair to the more correct Xemnas style I found had been made, but I hoping that now I can get back into the swing of my Sims game.

Hmm... Is there anyway that I can get a copy of those sims for my game?

I had to recently reformat my game and I never got around to downloading them anyway because I kept telling myself that I would make them myself, but if I can't figure out SimPE to extract a simple hair mesh to play with Blender... then ... blarg... I'm too tired and I don't have as much time as I like to play with stuff like that.

Ooooh... that'll be a huge job! I've pulled all of my sims froma number of places!

First off, if you have the time to go through their archives, ModTheSims2 (http://www.modthesims2.com/index.php?) has a lot of my various sims.

MimeWhite made Sephiroth, Cloud, Squall, AEris, Laguna and Vincent - but I don't think he's got Laguna and Vincent posted on MTS2 - I know I had to go hunting for Laguna and I ended up getting Vincent from a friend over AIM.

Read all the info one each of those pages, I think all of them need meshes that off-site, except the Xemnas hair as the mesh and textures are all there.

The other stuff made by the same maker as the Xemnas hair is pretty good - that maker does amazing hair if you're looking for really good long bishie hair for male sims.

enelar has numerous links on public on her journal linking to various websites where you can get stuff.
Probably the two best however are Rose Sims 2 (http://www.rosesims2.net/) and Genesims (http://genensims.com/). Rose Sims has a lot of hair, including the perfect Marluxia style, and genesims has all sorts of stuff like hair colours, skin colours, eye colours - not only in natural colourings but also in weird ones.

But mostly, go hunt through the game and anime listings on ModTheSims2, and as a personal piece of advice? If you run across multiple versions of characters you like? Download all of them because if one doesn't work then the others probably will, plus you can mix and match versions of their outfits.

Oh, and a quick look in MTS2 myself? There's a Lucrecia Crescent available (the sim I have with the name Lucrecia is actually Vincent's half-alien daughter).

Oh, and look up a user named Plicka on MST2 - they have a perfect Reno hair.

And there's also a Shelke sim!
