I wonder what it says about me and my involvement in a fandom when I decide to make a list of my opinions on pairings.



Cloud/Sephiroth
These two dragged me into the fandom!
So there is one of two things, Cloud either had an affair with Seph in SOLDIER, or he didn't. If he did, yey. If he didn't, he definately wanted Seph BIG TIME. I currently think he did.

Cloud/Zack
Never been big on it, always prefered Cloud/Seph anyway.
May have happened but nothing serious. Cloud ended up with Seph, Zack with Aeris.

Cloud/Vincent
Oh Eru! Love 'em! Not enough of it around.
Vin is Cloud's post-AC beloved (something yet to finalised in my mind on how it works out. Ask me again after AC, and again after I get more info on DoC's plot). I really love the idea of these two, no matter what.

Cloud/Aeris
Only ever read fics that refered to this either as an aside or in retrospect. It does not nessecarily conflict with anything else, this possible jealosy issues could come from any direction.
So, Cloud had the hots for Seph before Nibelheim, Hojo's lab was hardly the place for anything to to happen, then he met Aeris. *Crash Boom Bang!* Nice girl, he falls for her instantly (no, my Cloud is bi).
Poor kids, they didn't really have a chance at all, though if Cloud did have an affair with SOLDIER it certainly explains one motive Seph had for skewering her.

Cloud/Tifa
I would never deliberately go looking for CloTi fanfic. I end reading it but only because I'm reading the fic for other reasons. Hell, I'm currently reading two Aeris/Seph fics, bith of which incidentally have CloTi in them.
Nope, not happening in my book! Cloud may have had a crush on her as a kid but he was cured of hetronormative expectations when he joined SOLDIER. Anything left is friendship based on childhood history, though I do believe Tifa has convinced herself that she loves Cloud. Poor girl, she should go find someone else, Cloud may be bi but he's on the gay end of the scale.

Cloud/Yuffie
I'm not adverse to this, I wouldn't mind searching around for some more.
I can totally believe Yuffie having a crush on Cloud. Nothing happening though, by the time they met Cloud was totally lost on Aeris and afterwards there was either not enough time or the presumption that Cloud belonged with Tifa. After METEOR they scattered so Yuffie probably went off on her own, maybe hunted for more materia, maybe went back to Wutai for a spell.

Cloud/Marlene
I love nashidesei for writing the one and only fic to have these two on FF.net!
Don't get any bad thoughts, Marlene's got a crush on Cloud, Cloud just thinks she's a cute child. Marlene'll grow up, and get over it and Cloud's got Vincent.

Tifa/Rude
My new pet!
Only post-game, at some point when any emnity for the Turks has subsided a great deal. These two seem rather cute to me, and it's something for Tifa after she finally realises she just isn't going to get Cloud.

Tifa/[anybody else]
I haven't really considered Tifa with anyone else, not seriously. I have read Tifa/Zack (ALHR reserected Zack, Seph and Rufus, Hojo never actually died either), Tifa/Barrett (though only as an aside in what was frankly a crappy fic), Tifa/Red (I don't have problems with beastiality, I used to read it in HP), Tifa/Sephiroth (one fic, refered to me by blackkittikat that ended up with us deciding Jenova was a lesbian, wanted Aeris dead because she was yet another one of these prissy straight Cetra girls that wouldn't give poor Jen any love, and Seph went along with it because Aeris stole HIS boy!) and I have heard of Tifa/Aeris but I just don't read femmeslash.

Aeris/Zack
Aww, I can't help it, I just like 'em!
Poor Aeris, her SOLDIER boyfriend goes on a mission and never comes back. She didn't even find out the poor guy got riddled with bullets while with her new love before she got several feet of metal put through her. One consolation though, maybe she got to see him again in the Promised Land.

Aeris/Seph
Don't mind it, it's totally AU though because as it was brought up today on fanficrants, Seph was the one with the several feet of metal she got shish-kebabed on!
Not happening, I may read it in AU fics but... Well I don't mind the idea they may have met as children in Hojo's lab either, but nothing romantically between them as adults. Oh, if he got a chance to come bad NOT insane so he could finally make it all up to poor Cloud she may be tolerant for Cloud's sake and forgive him but beyond that... no. Just no.

Aeris/Tseng
Never seen it beyond the usual indicators that Tseng knew her from childhood. Wouldn't mild read it actually.
Another poor childhood crush. Between him becoming a Turk, her being with Zack, then Cloud, then both of them dying... well it never did happen for 'em did it?

Vincent/Yuffie
Yes, I read Yuffentine. It's a ship that has helped ease a bit of het back into my reading.
Only as another crush, sorry to say. Vin belongs ultimately to Cloud.

Cid/Vincent
I've read a few Valenwind fics so I'm not totally adverse.
Now this one conflicts with my opinions on Cloud/Vin. Vin belongs to Cloud in my mind so if there was ever anything between him and Cid it was only passing.

Vincent/Tifa
Heard of it, won't read it.
No. Just no.

Vincent/Reno
There was a slight intimation of this in nashidesei's fic Bound. I have attempted to read other fics of these two but I just can't bring myself to care for them.
Sorry, nothin' doin'.

Yuffie/Reno
Ehhh, encountered it, read a couple of fics that had it (including one that also has Yuffie suffering from crushes on Cloud and Vincent at the same time as she has one on Reno - it's marked Yuffentine though), not really interested.
O.O Not really.

Yuffie/Reeve
Only ever seen it twice and the first fic was short, the second crappy. Like the idea though! Had someone in a discussion of Yuffie appearing in DoC (back when we weren't sure about if it was really her) say something about Reeve having a fun streak that would go well with Yuffie.
One of the two fics I read that mentioned these two had Yuffie acting as an ambassador for Wutai and ending up sleeping with Reeve. I really like that idea.

Reno/Rude
Even before yesterday and Rude/Tifa pouncing on me I was never exactly inspired by this. I wonder if it's Reno's fault?
This one has been nulified now, Rude's straight.

Zack/Seph
Like I said above about Cloud/Zack, never really took to it.
Possibly before Zack met Aeris.

The Sliver-hairs
I'm still a little wary of reading Silver-hair fics because AC isn't out yet. I've only ever read one smutfic though, Kadaj/Yazoo. Poor Loz was away. ;_; Last week I went back and looked at a few comics on DeviantArt that were funny-cute and ended up looking through the artist's rather sizable collection. She only had a couple of slashy pics and they weren't clone-cest (Vin/Seph, based on a fic I've encountered). Still some of her stuff gave me ideas.
I really like the idea of Yazoo/Loz. secondary to that, clone-cest threesome - wouldn't want to leave Kadaj bereft of his brothers.
I also have a bit of a thing for the idea of Kadaj/Cloud, but it doesn't seem to exist - yet. I'm living in hope that it will happen after AC finally gets released.

My OT3
Barring a couple of iffy thoughts I only have one OT3 in all of FF7 - Cloud/Vin/Seph.
So, Cloud is with Vin right? What happens if Seph (the real one, not some cheap copy Kadaj makes in AC) comes back to find his boy with someone else? Lotsa angst that finally settles into a warm happy little threesome, that's what! ^_^
