The idea of having a different name is not one I really seriously consider - at least not now.
Oh, I used to think about it when I was younger, but I'm used to the name I have now, and if I were to change it, I'd probably just add another name, not change the one I already have.
Besides, the internet allows the luxury of being able to wear whatever name you want anyway. Here I get to be Merryweather Kyla Sardinia, instead of the name I don't tell anyone (except maybe PayPal). That works just fine for me, and that other name remains what I get called when I'm not online (or when I'm buying stuff through PayPal, because they need it to send me my stuff).
Anyway, it apparently cost an absolute bitch to change your first name. Surnames are easier to change (women still change them a lot when they get married), but first names are legally sacred or some such.
