I really had to LOL in the Sims tonight because I just got a copy of "Hot 'N Cold" by Katy Perry a few days ago and tonight I found it's in the Sims 2. That means, it's in the game in Simlish - the Sims language.
Actually I rather like it that EA went to the extent of getting special versions of popular songs to put in expansions.
I've also had the reverse effect, there's a song by the Veronicas in the Sims that that was the first place I'd heard it, so it amused me when it came on the radio at work (the work radio is a special channel for the store chain only - lot of easy listening pop music, and adds for store specials and such).
Been doing a fair bit of catch-up from the latest narf-up - which reminds me I should back-up again, don't want to lose all my progress. Most of what I've been doing is in my other characters, Kalia, my assimar, Adrastia, my tiefling and Lydia, who was originally a stand-in sim but I never used her.
It's interesting to see the way things work in the game, I settled Lyd down to some good hard study of magic, with a mood enhancer item on the lot (all moods stay perpetually full). I kept going in between the various types of magic and now Lyd - who started out as a dark witch - has is Good and has been Neutral as well.
The mage outfit changes with the variations in alignment, as does the colour of the familiar. Maybe the next step will be to give her some experience as a Plantsim.
But before I go back to her place I'm going to have to visit a few other houses- Kalia's house, the Primes (I need to get their wedding done), Megatron, the Seekers... >\
