22 March 2007 23:58It amuses me that two movies in a row I have sat through two thirds of each movie before working out why I recognised the actor of one of the secondary characters.
Ironically, in the second case (Mists of Avalon, FYI) also had another in it who I regocnised from the same place as the one I was puzzling over - but I recogised her straight off, despite her being practically bald.
I am not totally happy with Mists of Avalon - I read the book and I can see spots with rather glaring alterations in certain parts that even my dodgy memory of the book can pick up (it's been years since I read it).
I wonder if I'll run into a like actor to puzzle over in Brokeback Mountain (yes, I finally caved and decided to watch it).
Postscript: The chick I recognised in MoA straight off, I probably connected her to the wrong character. I initially thought she was Irulan but now I think she's probably Lichna. Still, it the same miniseries, and also the same as the guy who played Authur (who I recognised as having played Duncan Idaho).
