More Disney Musings
20 October 2006 01:09Yeah, I have been posting plenty lately about Disney princesses - blame the DVDs I hired.
So I finally got to watch my favourite Disney Princess movie. I was holding off until I'd watched the others because I know Sleeping Beauty has higher favour in my opinons to any of the others.
I guess when I compare the Big Three I still think Aurora is the one I think is prettiest, and the one who has the dress whose style I like the best (all things considered, judging these girls on looks is not quite as shallow as it may be for characters out of other fandoms - out of the Big Three they all have very similar personalities, sweet, graceful, musical, happy, romantically minded twits they are, so the only real factor that seperate them is their looks).
But I got thinking while I was watching the movie, after spending her whole life living like a hermit, with only Flora, Fauna and Merryweather for company (the "Mimi" part of my head is currently objecting to being compared with her fairy namesake. Shutup Fishgirl, you share a name and are both on the plump side and a bit contrary), one would think that she'd be more of a stranger to her parents than that happy hug she gave her mother would imply, and might have problems being amongst crowds - something I suspect no monarch or would-be monarch would be able to avoid all the time.
All in all, I think she'd have problems adjusting to royal life.
