Dammit

If anyone wishes to know? Ruby is damn fucking harder than Emerald!

Those fingers, I had totally forgot how much of a pest they can be - they take quite considerable amounts of damage when they hit and one of them takes MP.

I tried to fight with Revive materia linked to my Final Attack materia but no dice - about a third of the time they'll try to cast the bloody spell on someone else instead of themselves. Next time I'll try with Pheonix and healing factor be damned.

It also seems any sort of elemental damage heals Ruby - not just fire. I tried Ice spells on it but they healed it as well.

And the biggest pain of all? Seems Ruby doesn't need it's hands free to Whirlsand one of my boys. Between that and accidentally setting off Vincent's limit break I decided to get out of there before my boys got killed and go back to rereading one of gardensgnome's fics.

Grr!

I am just a little bit pissed at this game and at myself.

The game, because it doesn't seem to recognise the Jenova edit I did to Aeris, mtself, for not saving before I tried to breed my chocobos again.

Now I'm going to have to run through the Ancient Forest again so Cid and Tifa are ready to breed so I can try again to get a Blue chocobo.


On the other hand, Ruby WEAPON has decided to show it's head. I think I'll save that for later though, I'm currently on a breeding stint. I wonder however if it's appearance has anything to do with the level my team is at? Thanks to a EXP Plus materia, Seifer has hit over level 60.


Edit [3:26 AM]: Okay, now I'm pissed off at Jenova. The damn program is insisting Aeris is a Yellow Male with craptastic stats. I went back, did the Ancient Forest again, rebred my second chicobo and got exactly what I wanted - a Blue Female - and fed it a pile of Sylkis. Why the fuck is this blasted program saying she's a Yellow Male????
