Shinra Mansion - Sim Style

Well I passed on the grid paper (Mum didn't have any large sheets of it left) and started on Shinra Mansion using just screenshots from FF7 for reference. The result is quite...

To preserve the effect given by the landing on the second level in FF7 (where it looks like it has stairs but they're all the same level) it's got three functional stories to it. It doesn't have windows yet and the walls are unpainted. Floor colours are currently temporary until I plan out the decor.

I don't know what Vincent is going to do it the place all on his own but I supose once I can move Aerith in with him they can start working on having a nice large family.

I'm not sure how I will go about it but I also intend to somehow revert Cloud and Seph's surname to just Strife. I don't know what will become of the house they're in at the moment, at the moment I'd actually like Cloud and Seph to retain it but I think I will need Aerith to be the last in the house when I move her out so Ellone will go with her and I can't just leave Cloud and Seph there anyway if I want to change their surname. I guess I will just have to reconstruct the furnishing of the place.

I have everyone I have made so far on pieces of land but they are just transitory placements so I can use the motherlode cheat on them a few dozen times.

I still haven't made the Kisaragi family either.

Sims 2

Well I have been building more sims. Damn, if I had noticed the "Use prexisting sim" opyion before I wouldn't have a scarless Squall!

Anyway, I am slowly filling the nieghbourhood with my own custom made sims. I have already anticipated and shifted all the premade ones into to Family Bin.

Laguna is the first I have gotten settled in to a perminent house of this lot. I am already plotting to get Squall in with him.

I need some grid paper for Vin, I'm going to build him Shinra Mansion. Then once he's moved in I'll find a way to get Aerith over... though I'm trying to work out how to also get Ellone to move with her...

Okay, she doesn't look a great deal like Quistis - I blame the clothes, I haven't found a Quistis sim whose clothing has loaded right yet.

Ugh! Even less like her namesake! Though credit where due, her formal dress is accurate - meaning it's a faithful reproduction of the cream dress Rinoa is seen in, in FFVIII. I just didn't feel it apropriate however for her to be constantly wearing a formal outfit as everyday clothes.

Now this one's interesting, I finally decided the way to deal with the parental issue was to clone the kids' skins and age them up as their parental units, Andraeus (Riku), Skye (Sora) and Treya (Kairi). I tried to make them look a little different with such things as makeup, glasses and facial hair.



Hmm, I haven't gotten onto making Yuffie yet - I'm going to also make a Godo, an idea that occured while usagivindaloo was passing me Vincent last night, and she pointed me the way of Body Shop too, where I did the initial construction of Andraeus, Skye and Treya, plus gave me pointers on how to construct Godo.
