I read the blurbs given in the episode guide to BC on the website that has the On The Way To A Smile translation (I finally read Case Of Denzel and Case Of Tifa - the stories were... meh, and the grammar was terrible mind you, such grammar also gave us Sephiroth's "queer waves" in Maiden).
The blurb for episoe 19 struck me as interesting, considering that one of my three favourite characters is a certain ex-Turk. It seemed to imply that Veld deliberately went looking for Vincent - and that he knew him prior.
I should really read up on BC properly but with the way Fëanor has been acting I may not get around to it all that soon.
Still, there's something that makes me feel happy about a possible connection between Veld and Vincent - maybe it's partly that I like new canon fitting into old, or maybe it's because I like the idea of those two shagging at one point (before one Miss Crescent drew Vincent's eye).
