Random thought on materia, prompted by an RP post, while I've made up such gems as the Sex materia but what about something more... domestic? Something like the Cleaning materia - which gives it's bearer instintive knowledge of all sorts of cleaning techniques and an ability to detect dirtiness - or the Cooking materia - which turns it's bearer into a gormet cook.

Really, just because they aren't combat skills doesn't mean they couldn't exist! ^_~

Edit: a couple more to add:

Sewing materia - all the knowledge on how to sew/knit/etc.
and...

Garden materia - all the knowledge of how to take care of plants.

I think these count as a subgroup of materia all of their own - the Domestic Materia! And together with the Sex materia a full set of mastered Domestic materia can be taken to your local Huge Materia and turned into a Master Domestic - aka the Good Little Homemaker Materia.

Note: I may at some point in the furture add more materia to the Domestic Materia - just depends on if I think of something that fits.

Okay, so I'm starting a new game of FF7. Before you ask, I'm cheating big time in this one. Just don't ask what I've done already.

I will say this, while fiddling in Jenova I looked at the affection points, it seems the baseline scores are Aeris=50, Tifa=30, Yuffie=10 and Barret=0.

Really loading up the officially prefered ones, huh?

I'll probably try for someone else besides Aeris this time - hell, if I have to I'll use Jenova to fiddle the scores.

Oh, and I'm sticking with canon names.

I really have been noticing lately how often I make typos. I didn't think I was that bad but now I start to wonder.

I also can't help but think of something Mum said last night - that she saw something on TV about a scientific study that has found that people with bipolar and/or schisophrenia lose brain mass.

Makes me wonder if my possible depression (hey, I have a psych appointment in January, and Mum, a longterm bipolar, thinks I may have it) may have made me more typo-prone.
