Sim Life Goes On
29 March 2005 04:55Okay so, I rebuilt the Valentine house - you know I have a great deal of fun letting sims who have just moved into a property stand around for a while. They do that patting-the-stomache-in-contentment-thing a lot and virtually pounce on visitors and the newspaper.
I decided I was tired of fighting to keep the relationships in the house on the level with one half of each couple off at work all day and got Squall to quit his job and in turn finding one for Cloud.
Again all the spare time unemployed sims have to do stuff that furthers their skills has come in handy, as Cloud has already had six promotions in his IT career. He is currently a computer game designer.
Meanwhile I am still struggling to reach Seph's next promotion with him needing more skills in mechanical, logic and body plus 6 friends. So while I've knocked over the logic one and the mech one I have still to attack the body requirement. Friends I can let slip a bit until after and do that the sneaky way - building the friendships by inviting Seph over to their houses, where his job is a non-issue.
Meanwhile, in persuit of that logic point Seph got potion-making but left the potion sitting there. The first one caused a bit of stress - mainly for Cloud, knocking his stats for a loop that took a few days (including a sickday off of work) to fix. The second potion turned out interesting too, a love potion, and it hit the same person as before (quite a while ago now, Seph drank it but it went to a good cause, it got Seph one of his promotions) the victim - ( Edea ).
In almost a repeat of that a sim-day or so later Aeris was cleaning a certain piece of brassware and predictably got the genie, wished for love (mainly to see if it'd work), chose female and got ( Selphie )!
Meanwhile, I have a second neighbourhood I've started, it's theme is just plain weird. I've been diging through the skins I have and have been putting together oddball families from them and then putting them in houses of "inovative" design.
( All about the weirdos )
