Another stupid pairing name!

Because I'm a twit who likes seeing FF7 and FF8 characters put together I went and toyed with the Search function of FF.net, looking up KH fics. Honestly pairing names are stupid - of all the weird names Squiffie is up there with Clotiris.


Me is still a bit "ehhh" about the idea of Leon/Yuffie - Squall should be with either Seifer, Cloud, Seph (or both at the same time - OT3!) or Laguna!
Or... wait... I wonder what sort of scene you'd get if you had Cloud, Seph, Squall, Seifer, Vincent aaaaaaaaand Laguna together? Probably all the others annoyed at Laguna! *Snigger*

Which reminds me, I was checking star signs on my sims and Seifer has the same sign as Cloud, Seph and Squall. I mean, really, I have read at least a couple of fics for each fandom that expressed the idea that the respective people are alike (weeeeell... only one for FF7 - "A Long, Hard Road") but this is kinda nutty!

( Here it is, a very long list of mixed het and slash Kingdom Hearts fics that I got by putting in the name Leon and it's interesting how many fics I came across that have something to do with why Squall changed his name! )

Another Edit: I wonder how many of these fics that feature the FF characters have been written by people who don't know jack about the respective FF games - only knowing KH. I just finished Emotions Falling Apart and while nothing in the bit where Leon was talking about his friends seemed wrong Yuffie's bit about hers was daft as hell. Reeve wasn't "a friend of Cid and Barrett's" who made Cait Sith for them to play with and Sephiroth was NOT Cloud's rival in the same sense as Seifer was Squall's, he was Cloud's ENEMY!!!!!!!!!!

And another fic refered to Aerith as Yuffie's cousin! GAH!

And another: Tsukasukagura has me ina "yippy skippy" kinda mood, even if it only has 4 chapters. It's got past Squall/Laguna.
