Second Round On Sim Parenthood

So, I was encouraging Aeris and Squall to patch up their relationship, which had been a bit neglected of late,

when Aeris came out with a surprise proposal - Parenthood!

So wanting to brave the rocky ground of Sim child-rearing again I prodded them into going ahead and bring a mini-sim into being.

It's a boy! And I named him after his father - Leon.

So for the next few days my little sim family had to cope with a demanding baby taking up their attention.


Most of the parenthood responsiblities fell on Aeris, Cloud and Squall and for a time I was worried I wouldn't be able to maintain Squall's job in the face of infant care - having missed a couple of non-consecutive days.


And though Seph was busy keeping up with his own job even he had time to give Leon a bit of attention.


Thankfully, with having received only one Domestic Services warning on neglect, party time hit and Leon got to grow up into prepubesence.



So now we have one Leon Valentine, son of Squall and Aeris.


And so far he's already making friends with Marlene and spending time chatting with "Uncle" Cloud.



The side effects though are that the adults of the family are all a bit worse for wear, all in need of some consentrated fun, socialisation (a couple of Seph's outside friendships are going to need to be reconstructed), and general pampering, but now that Leon can take care of himself to a degree things will hopefully not be as hard on them.
I'm going to have to renovate though, room is going to have to be made for a bedroom for Leon and at the moment I am of the idea I may have to totally reconstruct the upstairs to do it. Ho-hum.


Edit: Did the renovations and didn't have to totally wipe out the up stairs either - just did a bit of furniture juggling, room resizing wall repainting and door and window relocation. And they still have a study!

*Mutters to self* Now I aught to consider working out how to include a third bathroom...
