Went out yesterday, right after an early grocery shop, went up to Chermside (big shopping centre on the north side) with [livejournal.com profile] agiftedmind. We spent several hours wandering around there, looking through all the shops that keep toys - Toyworld, Target, Big W, Kmart - and generally had fun. I finally got a Sunstorm toy - TFA Sunstorm and Activators Ratchet set.

After that, we came back through, down to my place and she stayed over the night. We watched some of my G1 vids and ended up sleeping on the floor (not too bad when I had enough pillows under bonier spots... and she had the beanbag), watch some more G1 this morning (including the dreaded Carnage In C Minor - animation errors and kooky plot festival!) before she headed off on the bus.

All in all, fun times.

Because of planned pairings in [livejournal.com profile] agiftedmind's "Genesis" series (mostly about Shattered Glass Sunstorm) it was inevitable that something like this would happen when my Sunstorm got home.

Sunstorm gets pounced!

SG and Harem
Now that I am cleaning up the mess caused by the visit, my TFs are slowly going back to their normal places. SG has been persuaded to join the Jet Harem on their shelf. SG is just glad he's got Sunstorm between him and the creepy red-optic'd Autobot (G1 Jetfire, in the back, with Littlescream on his shoulders) and [MP] Starscream and Acid Storm more or less between him and the other Autobot jets. The Harem is happy to have him there, even if he's only here temporarily.

I have been working on dealing with what I call "dead file Sims" - sim files in the "Default Sims" category that are copies of working sims wiped of all their personalities.

One of the latest examples of such that I have finally completed is the combined Hyperbole and Sardinia families. I had dead file duplicates of everyone in my two "Self Sim" families so I resurrected them all, renamed them, gave them all makeovers, and reset their family links to make them ancestors of the youngest generations of the Hyperboles and Sardinias.
Going with the theme the character of "Mimi Sardinia" was based on, I named most of them after Olypian gods - Zeus, Juno, Apollo and Hestia Olypiad - with Zeus and Juno parents to Apollo, Hestia and Edwin Sardinia. On the other side however, I altered Mimi's clone to be Hellaena Sardinia's mother... Harliquin Nexus.

Harliquin
Harliquin is one of my old, pre-fandom characters.

Original Harliquin
This is an original picture of her I drew years ago.

I will admit, she's based on Hexidecimal from Reboot, in that she always wears a mask and has spiky wild hair (based on Hex's crown), but I couldn't get that in the sims so I used make-up options I've found over time to get the white face effect I like. The hair is one of the early version of Rikku Al Bhed's hair I found for S2 - it's a lot bigger than the good one that Sunstreaker has as her exercise hair (where she looks like a total Rikku cosplayer). The outfit is simply a recolour of the Maxis "raver" outfit.
Background, everyone crying over another of the newly made ancestors dying.

I will note, Harliquin's base comes from this:

Mimi, Anvelice and Anvelicon
Mimi, on the left side (anyone who knows me here on LJ recognises this pic - I have an icon of Mimi I capped from this shot).

She in turn comes from this:

Mimi Fish
Mimi Fish (aka Merryweather Sardinia), bratty rebellious daughter of a neo-Olypian father and one of Harliquin's avatars (Harliquin was something of a goddess).

Some time I'll get some screencaps of the other ancestor sims of the Hyperboles and Sardinias - I really like the result I got with Juno's makeover to make her look different to Hellaena (Juno was the Hellaena clone). It's the first time I have serious used the hairstyle that I put on her.
