I Honestly know I have even less excuse reading FF8 than I did for reading FF7 buuuuuut... I confess to even more fangirling of really cute guys - particularly Squall.

Also... someone one fanficrants mentioned in comments to an incest rant that Squall/Laguna had become popular. It took me a bit to even find out who Laguna was and why it would come up in relation to incest but now I'm all too inclined to go back and ask for directions to some fics.

Edit: Oh, and now that I remember it from my all too naughty wandering around Wiki while I was in class I read that Squall's looks were based on Gackt.

Edit 2: Oh, and I still want to investigate some FF7 het beyond Yuffitine - Aeris/Sephiroth and Cloud/Yuffie look like possibilities.

Sephiroth/Aeris is probably one of the most popular het pairings, although there isn't much in canon to support it.

I kind-of figured that - him killing her and all - but I got influenced by one of the Yuffitines I read that reserected both and had a waaaaaay too cute scene with Aeris braiding Sephiroth's hair.
