Well I heard the Aussie price for the PS3 - $700. For everyone else, that's about $578 USD.

Dammit, I think I might just have to collect PS games until the damn thing gets cheaper. Either that or bust my gut trying to save up for it.

Edit: Shit, I just scared myself when I entered the conversion rate for $750 wrong! Anyhow, I was asking Mum if that meant the 20GB or the 60GB and she corrected the amount. The news item didn't say which capacity that was for either.

It's actually been announced that it's either $500 or $600 here, depending on which size hard drive you buy (20GB or 60GB). I liked it a lot better when the rumored price was $400, especially since I'm aiming for the more expensive 60GB one... ;_; I'll end up with a PS3 and no games to play XD;;

Yeah, that's the American price. You can probably chalk up the extra $40 to shipping or just plain profit margin.

I don't know what the $750 (Mum just corrected it) will include though, the news item didn't say.

The news last night (I still can't believe they covered E3 on the news o.O) said $500, but they didn't mention anything about two different HD. Either way, while I'll probably end up buying the 60Gb version, but there's no way I'll be buying it before there's been a price drop and most of the faults that all first versions have have been taken care of.

I ain't payin' that much for a game machine. I have plenty of ps2 and even ps1 games that I haven't even gotten through yet. Plus the early and expensive runs of a new machine are always the ones with the most hardware issues. I'll be waiting at least two years if I get this new console at all.

I may take that course as well, I can get a PS2 for about the same price as a DS at the moment so I may just buy PS3 games that interest me as they comes and put them in storage.

Meh, i'm happy with my PS2... actually, it's my sisters. But you know, same difference ;P When PS3 comes out, hopefully i can buy myself a PS2 coz the price with plummet.

I have absolutely no idea if playstations can be connected to a compy. I'm prettymuch that technically unknowing about playstations myself. The only console I have ever had was a hand-me-down SNES from my brother.

I'm seriously thinking I'll just buy a PS2 myself and wait until PS3s are cheaper. Maybe by then I'll know a little about what FFXIII is about.
