Brief Thought

It strikes me as interesting that the person who spoke up with am understanding of what Vincent was talking about on the Sierra (the discussion of Kadaj being a chrysalis) is Cid.

Somewhere I read a story that mentioned Cid thinking over something very technical and at the time it reminded me of the fact that most astronauts are highly trained in at least some feild of science - so the extension of that thought is that Cid probably has some very hefty training behind him (engineering has to be one of them - after all he's built two airships, hasn't he?) and is not dumb.

Just a random thought, brought on by listening to AC again.

That is interesting, isn't it? I'd say he definitely has more depth than he lets on.

And the guy's definitely not stupid. >.> It saddens me to see that Cid is often reduced to a chain-smoking, potty-mouthed pilot in most fics. With a tea obsession. ;_;

Yes, people don't often think of the logistics of how a person could have gotten into some jobs - we know Cid is a pilot but he'd also would have to be an engineer which would have to have damn good maths skills so he's not an idiot. He's just a highly trained guy who smokes, swears and has a tea obsession.

Can you tell I am warming up to Cid?
