HYYYYYNE! - Plotbunny Attack of DOOM!

My Cybernetic Lion-bunny of Great Annoyance (aka the Griever-bunny after deciding to adopt the Transformers) finally gave me a brainstorm:

I HAVE FIGURED OUT JUST WHAT HYNE IS!

Okay, backtrack a bit: So I came up with a plot history for Cybertron where I worked out a way to merge Primus into cartoon backstory of the Transformers being Quint-made - in a way that I could stand.

Anyway, the basic idea behind it being that at the start of the universe the first population of living creatures was made up of energy beings, who, when the energy-rich environment of the early universe started to disappear as stuff like stars and rocks began to form, they bound themselves to matter to survive.

Anyway, the Griever-bunny pounced on this and decided it's where the Lifestream first came from - since my whole idea of the Lifestream reincarnating itself through a method based on Omega WEAPON in DoC left me with the question of where it all started.

Anyway, my idle crossover ideas basically puts Rodimus on Terra - the world in FFVIII - and he ends up with Squall as a temporary companion as they try to solve the problem of Starscream messing about in the Galbadian civil war and encouraging the Red Sorceress's side to start tapping the Lifestream, thereby pissing off the Guardian Forces, of whom the elder members remembered quite well the effect of that on Gaea. Of course Starscream is in it because he can see that Lifestream is very easily converted into energon.

So anyway, my basic backstory for Hyne was that he was an alien, who the GFs waged a war against because he was gradually killing the planet with his demands on the Lifestream's powers, but I couldn't quite work out the logic of why his powers would not die with him, forcing them to divide and take root in natives, only to be passed on when they die - i.e. sorcery.

But then my brainwave hit, Hyne's powers are another of the first population energy beings.

Somehow, one such of these energy beings bonded itself to a matter-based living creature and forms a symbiotic relationship with it's material host. Said creature is not even sentient at this point, and it's actions are informed by the sentience of it's host.

Because the GFs are spirit-beings whose power comes from the Lifestream - another such energy entity - when they killed Hyne they fractured the energy creature into pieces that immediately sought hosts to bond with, who then became the first sorceresses.

When the GFs realised that Hyne's powers were loose, carried by normal humans, and if more than one lot of power was passed on to the same person they would merge together again, they realised they would have to keep watch so that no one person controlled all of Hyne's powers at once, ever again.

So far, the nearest threat of that has been Ultimecia, who, amongst other reasons, would have gathered all of Hyne's power together again in Time Compression. Currently, the most powerful sorceress living is Rinoa, but she is thankfully on the GFs' side and understands their concerns about stressing the planet.

Dammit, that lion-bunny eats everything!

P.S. Real Emotion is a fun song - even in Japanese. Anyone got an english version I could download?
