Journals and Movie

For anyone who wants to add them:

My InsaneJournal
My GreatestJournal
My JournalFen Journal

And on other things, I made use of the $50 I was going to pay up my journal with - I want and watched PotC 3.

To put my reaction in a nutshell:

I loved it. :)

Oh, there's a few things I was less than happy about - okay, one thing. I didn't appreciate Norrington dying. I blame a visit I made to [livejournal.com profile] sparrington last night for that depression - probably means I'll ahve go read more there for a good dose of fanfic therapy.

But besides, that... well I can see why people might not be happy about the ending but I like it. Plus, there's a lot that's been left open about it so hopefully the PotC fandom will be pretty productive for a while.

Hmm... how do you go about setting those up? I wouldn't mind doing the like with [livejournal.com profile] icedark_elf's journals.

Not too hard. All that's required is a paid account, which you have.

Just get the RSS feed of whatever journal you want. Then, go to http://www.livejournal.com/syn/ and paste it into the URL box at the bottom. If it exists already, you'll go to the page to add the current feed as a friend. If not, you get to name the new "user" yourself. (There's a 15 character limit on syndicated usernames.) After naming it, it goes to the add friend page. That's really all there is to it.

Any journals based on LJ have feed URLs at "http://site URL/users/username/data/rss" consistently. (No quotes, obviously.) So for [livejournal.com profile] icedark_elf on GJ, put "http://www.greatestjournal.com/users/icedark_elf/data/rss" in the box of the syndicator page.

Most other journal sites have RSS feeds as well. If you need them, I can get you feed URLs for things like Xanga, MySpace, FaceBook, etc.
