Journals and Movie

For anyone who wants to add them:

My InsaneJournal
My GreatestJournal
My JournalFen Journal

And on other things, I made use of the $50 I was going to pay up my journal with - I want and watched PotC 3.

To put my reaction in a nutshell:

I loved it. :)

Oh, there's a few things I was less than happy about - okay, one thing. I didn't appreciate Norrington dying. I blame a visit I made to [livejournal.com profile] sparrington last night for that depression - probably means I'll ahve go read more there for a good dose of fanfic therapy.

But besides, that... well I can see why people might not be happy about the ending but I like it. Plus, there's a lot that's been left open about it so hopefully the PotC fandom will be pretty productive for a while.

I've got a GJ account as well. Must friend you as soon as I can be arsed to log on as well. ;) ♥

And ooh, I'm so unhappy that Saprrington died as well! DX DX DX Why is it that everyone who kissed Elizabeth in that movie died shortly?! Geezus, talk about being a femme fatale...

I like to think (and the [livejournal.com profile] sparrington comm helps in this regard) that given two returns from the dead, another is not impossible.

Besides, the fanfic therapy is helping as quite a few of that comm's members believe that (I won't say "as well" because mostly I got it from them).
But as far as Madam Fatale goes, at least now she's safely married off and all, even if she doesn't get to see teh hubby again for ten years.

Alright... I created [livejournal.com profile] mimisardinia_gj, [livejournal.com profile] mimisardinia_ij, and [livejournal.com profile] mbh_jf to keep tracks on those. I also added you on IJ. I tried to add you on GJ, but their OpenID server is down right now. (You can go to this page (http://www.greatestjournal.com/userinfo.bml?userid=1100036&t=I) and add me, if you like.) JournalFen doesn't have an OpenID server. Oh well.

Hmm... how do you go about setting those up? I wouldn't mind doing the like with [livejournal.com profile] icedark_elf's journals.

Not too hard. All that's required is a paid account, which you have.

Just get the RSS feed of whatever journal you want. Then, go to http://www.livejournal.com/syn/ and paste it into the URL box at the bottom. If it exists already, you'll go to the page to add the current feed as a friend. If not, you get to name the new "user" yourself. (There's a 15 character limit on syndicated usernames.) After naming it, it goes to the add friend page. That's really all there is to it.

Any journals based on LJ have feed URLs at "http://site URL/users/username/data/rss" consistently. (No quotes, obviously.) So for [livejournal.com profile] icedark_elf on GJ, put "http://www.greatestjournal.com/users/icedark_elf/data/rss" in the box of the syndicator page.

Most other journal sites have RSS feeds as well. If you need them, I can get you feed URLs for things like Xanga, MySpace, FaceBook, etc.
