Just listening to the FFVIII soundtrack I got from ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
ff7aeris... I just discovered that the Crystal Prelude is in FFVIII.
It's in the piece of music that plays if you get a Game Over.
ETA: The title Cactus Jack makes me think it is one of those ludicrously improbable songs that for song reason has become a major patriotic song.
The perennial Real World example of that (for me at least) is Waltzing Matilda, which is probably Australia's second most patriotic theme (behind the anthem)... but it's a song about a sheep thief committing suicide to keep from being taken captive by the cops.
