I am having to totally reinstall the Sims 3. Some faults have popped up that the only way there seems to correct them (other than waiting for the first expansion pack to come out) is to reinstall it because the patch that took me ages to find won't install otherwise.
That means that I have lost all the progress I've made on the households I've played, and I've also lost all of my custom-coloured items and all of my custom-made sims. Alana, Azure, Kyla, Rachel, Nathaniel, Emma and Mimi.
I'll probably make new custom sims, but besides making a new Mimi Sardinia sim, I don't think I'll try too hard to capture the others... though I could probably construct a new version of Kyla Yaslana pretty easily because she was strongly based on one of the sims in the template library. But I won't get Nathaniel back, and he was damn cute.
It also means I am going to have to start all over again in raising Bella, Mortimer, Malcom, Holly, Kaylynn and Miraj - and get Agnes married off to Jamie again. But if it means I don't have to put up with losing my one and only source of Deathfish, I'm up for it.
I think I'll also remove the Ingredients Upgrade mod, which while it did great things for making the food more interesting, it conflicts with the mod that makes Flame Fruit and Life Fruit buyable, which made things a lot simpler.
