Comedy? Blah.

Right at this moment, a movie that is considered a comedy classic of the '90s - Muriel's Wedding.

This just highlights a personal preference issue I have, I dislike most comedy.

I don't know, I think the big problem is that I can understand how a lot of comedy situations could be utterly embarrassing for the person going through them, so I can't really sit back and laugh at it because I sympathize with the character.

About the only type of comedy I really like is the dry sarcastic sort - sitcom-style just bugs the hell out of me, and frankly, so does a lot of American comedy, hell, I don't like American stand-up much either, but give me Australian or English stand-up I'll be quite happy.

As it is, I'm coping with the movie by having Evanescence playing on headphones loud enough to block it out.

Oh that they'd put Priscilla, Queen of the Desert on instead, of the two big Abba-featuring movies of the '90s, I prefer that one better.
