At least *Something* Goes Right!

Well my second idea for dealing with the Aralium situation in the Sims 2 has worked so far! It's a simple enough idea, I use a placeholder sim and some of my handy hacked items to transfer Amarylis and Marluxia onto another lot and see if they will make the transition on that lot instead.

The placeholder is Lamuria, and as you might guess from the name, I simply reused the Marluxia sim I have in stock. It's kinda cute seeing him holding toddler-Marluxia, but I have every intention of either killing him off or making him over drastically some time later.

Of course I am still only halfway through this whole process, I just replaced the Temp nieghbourhood, will have to move the Aralium family there, then back it up again, uninstall the whole program and reinstall, restore as much of the backup as I need to, then start moving houses back into Pleasantview... and hopefully I'll have not only my favourite lot back in working order (albeit in need of some renovations again, plus furnishings) but I'll actually have the original nighbourhood story restored too - which is something I failed to take into account last time I did the whole uninstall/reinstall jig.

Then maybe I should really settle in and start doing a few lingering reno jobs - a good few houses need garages installed on their properties and there's a couple of houses I want to replace entirely and there's still about five or so families that need housing all together... Ow. o_o

Anyway, it wouldn't hurt me to go to bed early either - well, early for me!
